Ribbed Wave Glass Frosted
Ribbed wave glass is produced by pressing molten glass into a mould with a defined geometric relief. A secondary treatment, like sandblasting or acid etching, is then applied to the patterned surface for a diffuse, non reflective finish. This combined process retains the distinctive light distorting geometry while rendering the material translucent, scattering light for a soft, matte appearance.
This seamless 4K PBR material uses a detailed normal map to portray the ribbed wave pattern's geometry and a high roughness value for the frosted effect. It simulates both directional distortion from the ribs and soft diffusion from the matte finish, including subtle anisotropic reflections. Tailored for privacy glazing and decorative lighting, it provides a physically accurate representation of textured frosted glass.
Optimized for Metallic/Roughness workflows. (Note: For Specular/Glossiness workflow, simply invert the Roughness map inside your render engine).
These dimensions serve as guidance, ensuring realism and consistency. All assets are encouraged to be used flexibly and can be scaled accordingly to suit different scales or art-directed scenarios.
