Chrome Dichroic Mirror Glass
Dichroic glass is fabricated via a high tech vapour deposition process, where microscopic layers of metallic oxides are fused onto a glass substrate in a vacuum. These precisely engineered layers interfere with light waves, reflecting certain colours while transmitting their complements, forming an iridescent, mirror like finish that shifts colour with the viewing angle.
This seamless 4K PBR material simulates the complex, multilayered surface by replicating a micro thin reflective Chrome film over a transparent base. It accurately captures the vibrant metallic sheen and its color shifting properties, while subtle photo derived imperfections provide realism. Ideal for architectural facades, fashion eyewear, and artistic lighting, it authentically models angle dependent color and light behavior.
Optimized for Metallic/Roughness workflows. (Note: For Specular/Glossiness workflow, simply invert the Roughness map inside your render engine).
These dimensions serve as guidance, ensuring realism and consistency. All assets are encouraged to be used flexibly and can be scaled accordingly to suit different scales or art-directed scenarios.
