Smoked Dichroic Mirror Glass
Smoked dichroic glass is made by applying microscopic layers of metallic oxides to a smoked, body tinted glass substrate via vacuum deposition. The smoked base provides a dark, light absorbing foundation. Engineered to interfere with light waves, the dichroic coating reflects specific colours, creating a mirror like, iridescent finish that shifts with the viewing angle.
This seamless 4K PBR material simulates this complex surface by replicating a microthin reflective film over a transparent smoked base. It accurately captures the dichroic layer's vibrant metallic sheen and colour shifting properties, while subtle photo derived surface irregularities ensure realism. Ideal for architectural facades, high fashion eyewear, and artistic lighting design, it delivers an authentic representation of angle dependent colour.
Optimized for Metallic/Roughness workflows. (Note: For Specular/Glossiness workflow, simply invert the Roughness map inside your render engine).
These dimensions serve as guidance, ensuring realism and consistency. All assets are encouraged to be used flexibly and can be scaled accordingly to suit different scales or art-directed scenarios.
